I have been dealing with Plumbtech for over 14 years. They did the original install of all our plumbing when we originally built new. I have only used them for any repairs or maintenance with respect to plumbing. I have always been very happy with their service. Recently, I had them come and do a number of small jobs. When I inspected what had been done I felt some of the items maybe could have been repaired better. I called Plumbtech and Nancy answered who was most accommodating. One of our hot water pipes in our home started leaking where it branched off to another bathroom. I tried to repair it as I did in the past, but the older repair technology parts I had would not work anymore. I tried previously at another plumbing business to see if I could get someone to help or direct me on how to slow or repair the leak as things were getting bad. I was told most were heavily booked and could not help out, so I checked on the internet and found Plumbtech Plumbing Inc, and phoned and spoke to Heather I believe, and she understood my situation and urgency, and said that she would have someone there in 2 hours if that was fine. I told her that would be great, and as she said she was dispatching a Plumber. Soon a Plumbtech truck came to our address and I was relieved that they were right on time. He introduced himself as Dan, and wore the proper PPE and came in to inspect the situation, and said, he could have it fixed for us no problem. He was courteous, professional, well spoken, showed respect and craftsmanship when he was doing the repair, and in 30 minutes, he announced that I could turn on the water. WOW!!, something that I thought would take considerable time was accomplished in minutes, as he had all the right parts, tools, and knowledge on how to fix our problem and with little mess or disruption. I phoned back to Plumbtech office after Dan left and told them how well everything went and how professional Dan was with us and our repair. I read most of the reviews before phoning, and I have to agree with most of them, that if you need a job done well and professionally, then you need not look further then a call to Plumbtech. Thank-you for all your help and for having courteous and professional staff for our plumbing needs.

I recently had the pipes feeding my washing machine replaced after I noticed one of the valves started to leak when opened. From my initial call to Plumbtech, I found them to be highly responsive and accommodating. After a few phone calls and emails with pictures, the guy I was dealing with (John) was able to come up with a solution that fit my design ideas, budget and schedule. Took about a week after my original call to get everything organized (but most of that was waiting for the specific valve I wanted to come in and because I had to provide 48 hours notice of the water shut-off once the appointment was booked). And when I discovered a section of the pipe from my water heater was leaking a few days before my appointment, they had no problem adding that repair to their plumber’s scope. The guy that arrived on the day (Andrew) was friendly and experienced. I checked in on him a few times and was genuinely surprised at how fast and smoothly things were going — especially considering the awkward, hard-to-get-to location of some of the pipes. Once the work was completed, Andrew tested everything thoroughly to ensure there were no leaks. Both jobs were finished expertly, going above and beyond my desired specifications. I thanked him for a job well done and soon after a detailed invoice arrived in my email inbox. A receipt showing that I’d paid was also sent to me (by Nancy) once the payment was fully processed. All in all, I was very impressed with Plumbtech’s work and would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber. Thanks again to your team!

Called them in a panic at 3:20 on a Friday due to water dripping from my kitchen light fixture, and despite not being a customer already, had a plumber here by 4. He went to great lengths to avoid cutting a hole in the kitchen ceiling, found the split hose that was causing the issue, and fixed everything by 5 pm and for a very very reasonable price. I needed someone to help with a sump pump drain. I called Plumbtech after reading an article on Barrie Local News outlining their services and made an appointment. Brandon appeared at my door on time and in a mask. He investigated what I needed and after detailing what was required and why, he went about making the repairs. He tested the pump more than once to make sure there were no leaks and the bill at the end was less than I expected. My experience from start to finish was excellent. All staff I dealt with were helpful and professional, the repairs complete and correct, and my home left clean at the end of it. We were in the middle of renovating our kitchen. During the cabinet installation for the sink the cabinet installer showed us challenges with the plumbing. Needing someone fast we called Plumbtech. Jeff was dispatched on the same day and took control of the plumbing needs on his arrival. He made suggestions to improve the flow and configuration of the kitchen plumbing. As the countertop was not available we agreed to have Jeff return when the countertop and sink were installed. Jeff’s work was very professional neat and clean. First time needing a plumber on short notice. Had a sewer back up in the basement. Looked online and found Plumbtech. I called at 10pm and spoke to a plumber and re-assured it was ok to wait until morning. We did not have a flood, just couldn’t flush toilets or put water down the drain. I chose to wait until morning. Follow up call first thing in the morning, given upfront info about pricing, best and worst case scenario kind of thing. Two plumbers arrived at 10 am. They were both professional, friendly and efficient. Removed a blockage from the main line. Excellent customer service, and it ended up costing less than I expected. Purchased an older home in McKellar and Plumbtech was recommended but also were willing to come the distance and help us out as we were renovating ourselves in order to get moved in. We gutted the house, moved the kitchen to the opposite side, adding water lines for fridge and dishwasher and discussed a future addition. We needed a 20+yr-old shower faucet cartridge removed and replaced. The guys from Plumbtech arrived on time and got right to work. They fought with the old cartridge for a fair bit of time, but didn’t complain at all. They finally managed to coax it out and then installed a new one as well as a new tub spout. Working on decades-old plumbing can not be easy or fun, but they did a great job for us. There was smoke in my house and I thought it was the furnace. The fire department came and told me it was the sump pump that was fried and smoking. I called Plumbtech and a plumber was able to come right away. The water level was quite high and I worried about leaving it till morning. I am so impressed by the service and compassion of the team at Plumbtech. Two weeks ago I lost the ability to use all of my indoor plumbing due to an extensive main drain blockage and a faulty/old/shoddy indoor plumbing setup. I had already been in touch with another company who did not do the work that was needed and promised in their contract. That company charged me an exorbitant amount, and proposed more work that would not have actually solved the issues. The fact that I fell victim to them was a humiliation, but I was in a very low period due to significant life stress. John and Julie at Plumbtech held space, listening to my story when I called in distress, and dispatched a fantastic crew to solve my issue as soon as they could the next morning. Andrew and Larry were professional, kind, and knowledgeable. They reworked the old system to best meet our needs and took care of the issues caused by the inadequate setup. John and Julie did everything they could to minimize my stress and prevent further challenges for me as I prepared my home to meet our basic needs and receive company from out of town. They kept communicating with me and reassuring me that the work would be done. I am so grateful for the professionalism and care that Plumbtech demonstrated. We had an emergency situation yesterday. Everywhere we called said it would be at least 24hours and needed a deposit to secure an appointment! Not plumbtech!! They were very quick in sending someone over, they understood the urgency.
The plumber who came was friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing and looking for, potential causes and everything. He left and I felt confident in what he told me! Followed up with the city to confirm what he had said and everything has been fine since!! AND THEY DIDNT CHARGE ME AN ARM AND A LEG!!!!

We discovered a burst (galvanized-older home) pipe early Saturday 18th of May…the Long Weekend. Neighbour recommended PlumbTech because he’s a good friend of M. Benoit. Due to a rash of emergency calls that morning they could not arrive on site until 2:30pm They were great! All fixed in an hour! New copper pipes installed. My only complaint was that it took so long for them to get here, but…there were calls ahead of us and it was…The Long Weekend. Thank goodness someone is still available on a Holiday weekend! We recently bought a house and discovered some leaks from a poorly done bathroom renovation from the previous owner. Great customer service and wonderful staff. Had a leak in my copper pipe and shut off valve connected on the top of my hot water tank. Ryan was in and replaced the pipe and shut off valve with a new one, and had the issue fixed within 15 minutes. Very prompt service and excellent work.
